Safety

All sports involve inherent risks, and it is your responsibility to educate yourself and take necessary precautions to minimise the risks associated with Free Diving and the Underwater Jetpack before participating in this activity. While Jetpacks offer an exhilarating experience, it’s easy to overlook potential dangers.

You MUST read the product manual thoroughly. This page outlines some—but not all—of these risks. With this knowledge in mind, you’ll be prepared to enjoy an unforgettable adventure like no other!

Critical Safety Warning:
Do NOT use the Underwater Jetpack if you have long hair without taking strict precautions. The device relies on powerful water intake to propel you, and any loose hair or objects can be immediately sucked into the intake, leading to serious injury or device malfunction.

While the Jetpack is equipped with a protective mesh, this barrier does NOT prevent smaller items like hair strands from being pulled in. If you have long hair, you MUST securely tie it back or cover it before use. Failure to do so is a serious safety risk, and you will be fully responsible for any injury or damage resulting from improper use.

Battery Warning!

  • The units are shipped at 30% charge and must be returned to 80% charge within 14 days of delivery.

WARNING:
Our products do NOT supply air. Do NOT attempt to breathe underwater while using them. They are not compatible with external air sources. Failure to follow this warning may result in serious injury.

These products are for assisted free diving only. You must hold your breath and resurface before needing air.

Will I sink without power?

The jetpack will not sink without power. The Harness provides buoyancy to the user, so you will be able to sit comfortably at the surface.

How do you control direction?

The direction is controlled simply by moving your body.

The Underwater Jetpack has no way to control your direction, it can only provide thrust!

Will I get forced down to the bottom of the ocean?

The Underwater Jetpack can not control your direction.

Also, the Jetpacks are fitted with a 3-meter safety limit, from factory settings.

When you hit 3 meters, the power will cut out, and the buoyancy from the harness will make you float to the surface quickly.

This prevents inexperienced users going too deep, too quickly.

Warning! If you are a new diver, do not apply MAX throttle until you have good control of the product.

Read the product manual on how to adjust the safety limit.

What about breathing?

Our products are NOT designed to provide air during use. If you intend to go underwater, you must hold your breath and resurface when needed. These products do not include an air supply, nor are they compatible with any external air sources.

Please DO NOT attempt to breathe underwater while using our products. As a result, there is no risk of lung overexpansion, which is typically associated with scuba diving.

This product is intended for assisted free diving, meaning you will hold your breath throughout the dive and resurface with only the air you started with.

Equalise! What about ears?

You should learn how to equalise your ears properly before you dive.

Going down may take some practise but going up is simple and often automatic.

How deep can you go?

While the product is rated to 40 meters, you should seek out professional training and advice from a free diving school or instructor if you want to dive below 3 meters.

How Fast Is the Underwater Jetpack?

The Underwater Jetpack can travel up to 3 meters per second. This speed is controlled via the trigger in the hand controller to provide smooth variable thrust control.

This is faster than any swimmer! Watch here

How do you stop moving when flying the Jetpack?

As soon as you let go of the trigger, the massive drag from the water will stop you almost instantly.

What happens if I run out of battery?

The Underwater Jetpack includes multiple battery warnings to alert you when the battery is running low, signalling that it’s time to head back to land.

As the battery nears depletion, the Jetpack will automatically limit its power to help you cover longer distances on low power, ensuring you can return safely even if you’ve ventured too far.

If the battery reaches 0%, the motor will stop, and the Jetpack will float at the surface, allowing you to swim or wait for assistance if needed.
